Tour the Archives!

Enjoy highlights from the collection like our 16th century manuscript, posters from WWI, our bear mascot, a signed book from George R.R. Martin, notable pieces from the Petteys Collection of Woman Artists, and more.

Tours take place on the last Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm during Fall and Spring semesters. They last approximately 30 minutes and include standing and light walking. Tours are also available by appointment. See the right sidebar for how to find us.

Intern at the Archives!

Are you thinking of pursuing a career in archives, libraries, or museums? Are you interested in history? Cool stuff? Old photographs? Or possibly even digital records management? Then an internship or job shadow experience at the University of Northern Colorado Archives and Special Collections may be for you!

Internships

Internships are open to current 国产AV undergraduate and graduate students as well as current graduate students in a library/information science program. The number of available internships each semester (fall, spring, or summer) is dependent on the availability of appropriate projects and faculty supervisors.

Job Shadowing Experiences

Job shadows are open to any current high school, undergraduate, or graduate students. They are a half day program to introduce the student to the major parts of archival work, provide brief hands-on experience, and to expose the student to various career pathways through 1:1 conversation with team members. Scheduling is flexible, but shadowing experiences are typically scheduled for around 4.5 hours.
