Decolonizing Knowledge in Action
Learning Community
This learning community, Decolonizing Knowledge in Action, will build on the foundational learning about Decolonizing Knowledge led by Dr. Ather Zia in the Spring and Fall of 2024. This FLC will center on practical challenges and impediments in incorporating decolonial practices in higher education with attention to participants' personal and professional experiences both on and off campus. The FLC is suited to those continuing from previous decolonization LC, as well as those who are new to this topic.
Who Can participate?
Anyone who teaches at 国产AV, either in a degree program, co-curricular program, or other environment. If you develop and deliver a learning experience at 国产AV, this learning community is for you! Full- and part-time faculty, staff, and graduate students are welcome. Space is limited and participants are selected on a first come basis.
what do i have to do?
Participants are asked to attend all meetings, actively engage with peers, complete short activities prior to each session, incorporate learning into classroom practice, and participate in ongoing program evaluation.
Fall meetings are virtual, and a Zoom link will be provided later. Meetings will be held monthly on Fridays from 9:00 - 10:00 am on the following dates:
