Our undergraduate curriculum is designed under the guidance of  and includes two professional development courses in the first year (UNIV 101, PSY 166) and a field experience (PSY 491) in the junior or senior year.  Through our mentorship program, students at all levels work with faculty to find their career path and work on research projects that help prepare you for your next step, whether it’s a job, career, or graduate school.
Undergraduate Resources
Across the required and elective hours of our curriculum, you will develop transferable skills in several areas including research design and analysis, the ability to understand human behavior, recognition of and tolerance for diversity, report writing and presentation, establishing rapport in groups, and critical thinking.
We are home to an active chapter of Psi Chi, the national honor society for psychology students. Psi Chi works closely with the program faculty and provides social and preprofessional opportunities to qualifying students. Also, we strongly encourage high achieving students with an affinity for research and an interest in graduate school to consider applying to the University Honors Program.

This is important to do before you register, as your advisor will discuss your schedule and provide you with your personal identification number (PIN). It is a good idea to arrange to meet with your advisor at least one week before your scheduled registration day.
