The Jiu-Jitsu Jamboree is Colorado's largest public open mat event for jiu-jitsu and submission grappling. An "open mat" is a drop-in training area for practitioners from different schools and gyms to spar with new people. Instead of the highly competitive environment of competitions, the Jamboree is a fun and easy-going event that allows the community to come together outside of competition while also showcasing the sport to newcomers.
The Jiu-Jitsu Jamboree will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, from 5-7 p.m. on the University of Northern Colorado Snyder Hall Lawn (1910 10th Avenue Greeley, CO. 80631). The event will be outdoors and is free to all participants and spectators.
