Don't miss Dearfield Day on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 1:30-2:30 p.m., at the Dearfield site. Black American West Museum board members and the Dearfield Committee will welcome and introduce Dearfield Day. Africana Studies Professor George Junne, Ph.D., will then give a brief history of Dearfield. 

Then, there'll be an update on what has been going on at Dearfield including:

• What鈥檚 happening with new Preservation Construction Projects and a Dearfield Presentation at the Society for Historical Archaeology Conference in New Orleans in January.
• The Colorado-Wyoming Association of Museum in Greeley in April 2025.
• CSU鈥檚 diversity internship program and the 11th annual Dearfield Conference at CSU in May.
